Central PA Road Reopens After Gas Leak: Police (Update)

A road has reopened following a natural gas leak in Central Pennsylvania, the police announced on Thursday evening.

Initially, the 2100 block of Market Street was "closed to vehicles and pedestrians," the Camp Hill police stated in a release at 2:58 p.m. on May 9.

"The gas leak has been contained however Market Street will remain closed between 21st and 22nd Streets until further notice," the police said at 4:52 p.m. 

The roadway reopened at 7:37 p.m. and the public is no longer urged to avoid the area. 

No additional information was available as of 7:50 p.m.
